Jones & Hampton LATEST NEWS CHAS [02/2006] Our application for CHAS (Contactors Health & Safety) status has been successful. This is another example of our commitment to improving H&S standards. Details of CHAS assessment scheme can be found on www.chas.gov.uk. Trackers [01/2006] To help improve the efficiency and service to our customers we have now fitted GPS trackers to our company vehicles. This offers us as a company to ability to increase the efficiency of our workforce which in turn increases the profitability of the company which can only be advantageous to all our clients. Corgi [12/2005] In addition to our recent NICEIC registration and to further our commitment to providing our customers with a one stop shop approach we are now Corgi registered. Initially this is a complementary service predominately being used by our void teams. Investors in People [11/2005] We have recently been re assessed for the investors in people standard and we are delighted to say that we have been successful in maintaining our IIP status without having to make any changes to our current employment and training procedures. It is a true measure of our commitment to training, equal opportunities and the general welfare of our workforce. Leominster [10/2005] To accommodate a new housing maintenance contract in South Shropshire we have opened a new branch in Leominster, currently employing a dedicated team of 9 mixed tradespersons and administrators. it is our intention to ensure that we continually meet our clients KPIs and once we have achieved this we will expand our activities in the region.
Health &
Safety [04/05/2005] we are always looking to improve our health and safety procedures and our most recent improvement was to ensure that all our employees had the latest training available on asbestos awareness, working at heights ( within the new regulations) and manual handling Combining the above with the issue of our new health and safety manual with self assessment tick sheets, we believe we have been successful in ensuring that health and safety issues have become integral within our daily activities and the service we provide to our customers. We Have Moved!
[11/04/2005] Our new premises are situated on the edge of Telford's premier industrial estate known as Halesfield. our premises consist of nearly 4000 sq ft of office and warehouse space and offers potential for expansion and diversification. NICEIC Registration
[01/04/2005] Acknowledging our customers increasing need for a ' one stop' contractor we have become NICEIC registered. complementing our existing workforce we now employ 3 appropriately qualified electricians and currently we are enjoying a marked improvement in our service to our customers as we no longer rely on using sub contractors to fulfil this element of our works. CRB Checks [10/03/2004] As contractors we are
constantly working within tenanted properties, schools and public buildings
and as such our staff work along side children. young people and vulnerable
adults. In order to eliminate the risks from working in this environment all
our direct employees and sub contractors are to undergo screening by the
Criminal Records Bureau. This will ensure that all our staff have met the
C.R.B criteria and we as a company can feel that we have met all our
obligations to ensure that we offer not only a well informed. efficient
workforce but a safe one also. Health & Safety [10/03/2004] Jones and Hampton
Limited have always been concerned that they meet all current Health and Safety
legislation. We have recently reviewed all our Safe Systems of work including
Tool Box Talks. induction and evaluation, safety audits etc.We now feel that
we can confidently display our H & S procedures and welcome the
opportunity to do so. E-Procurement [10/03/2004] In the very near future
it is the intention of Jones and Hampton Limited to offer all our clients the
use of shared data bases ( E Procurement ). We believe this will give an
immediate improvement with regard to accuracy and speed of information.This
should in turn mean a reduction in time spent on invoicing and administration
thereby show an overall improvement in performance figures.This combined with
the spirit of partnering we would be able to offer a unique repair service
giving our clients and their tenants the best service possible. |
