Working in Partnership

Jones and Hampton have been most successful in developing relationships of trust, mutual benefit when working in the spirit of true partnership. When we understand and share the same values and ambitions of our clients we can become an integral part of our client's team, creating confidence in our future, enabling investment in training of our teams and the development of IT systems all contributing to meeting the principle requirements of the contract.

To help meet this aim we believe where ever possible shared facilities are essential, incorporating dual access to data, helping to eliminate duplication of tasks, ease of communication and ensuring we are always available. We must understand each others' main objectives and this can only be achieved by being familiar with each other’s responsibilities and circumstances. This level of familiarity can only be achieved by working closely together and to help meet this aim, we try to have a member of our team permanently working within the same area as our client.

Informal lines of communication between both parties will develop daily contact with our staff managers and supervisors will ensure all immediate requirements of the contract are met. Trends, KPI performance, customer care, Health and Safety, training requirements will be assessed via regular planning meetings attended by all involved with a formal agenda and continual measures of performance. We have a successful system of working that relies on continuous supervision, recording and monitoring our activities on site, the findings of our site inspection records helps to identify the changing needs of the contract and enables a proactive approach to what is often perceived as a response type of work.

Our proposals for cost management throughout the life of the contract are working within our current methods of managing our existing supply chain. Regular review of supplier and contractor performance, rate comparisons and continuous negotiation to encourage competition between suppliers and to combat price increases.
Working in genuine partnership with our client ensures honesty and the acceptance that all parties must achieve mutual benefit. Open book policy and sharing the financial risk will encourage knowledge transfer between all involved. Pooling all our knowledge and experience within an environment of trust will contribute to achieving year on year efficiencies and drive continuous improvement.

Elements of our activities are incentivized by applying price work or bonus, however the model we have developed, has a positive effect on quality, KPI performance and is generally only applied if every individual included achieves their own targets set within the team they are working. We have applied incentives this way to ensure quality of workmanship and levels of customer care are not compromised by individual financial gain. We have also experienced a genuine improvement in team spirit and a resulting and ongoing enthusiasm for new ideas, driving efficiencies and continuous improvement.
